Jehovah Sabaoth, Commander of the Armies of heaven, is God of the house of Winkelman!

1 Samuel 17:45-47 tells what David said to Goliath; it says, “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:  but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.  This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands.”  When I read this scripture, a thought came to me from verse 45:  “He is the LORD of hosts, the God of the house of Winkelman!”  Stop right now and write your last name in the blank:  “The Lord of hosts, the God of the house of (___________)!!   WOOHOO!!  Praise Him!!!  Declare Him to be LORD of your home!!  As for us and our house, we will serve the LORD!!  (Joshua 24:15)

Raindrop verses:  Psalm 103:8, 12, 17 -- "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children".

I love Who God is:  merciful, gracious, slow to anger, plenteous in mercy, has everlasting mercy (Did you notice the mercy thing was mentioned three times?)

I love the promises of God:  He removes our transgressions from us as fas as the east is from the west, His "everlasting to everlasting" mercy is upon those who fear Him, and He extends His righteousness to children's children!

Good stuff!

I have been praying for godly people to be put in the life of our prodigal each day.  I do not get to see the answers to my prayers often for this situation, but I saw the answer to this prayer for one day this past week.  A very special lady told me that God laid a heavy burden on her heart to pray for our prodigal one day, so she did.  Then she told me that she felt she is to write a letter to this person!!  I told her about my prayer, and then I told her, "Go, godly person!"

This is yet another raindrop to show me God is answering my prayers!!

Answer to a small prayer makes me know God is working on my big prayers!

Of course, it is all the same to God, but today I was out of sage!!  How can a true southern lady be out of sage?!?!?!  The reason I have been out is because the price is so astronomical, and I have been looking for economical sage for months!  Before I left the house going to the local grocery store, I asked God for cheaper sage.  When I got there, they had a bottle about an inch high for over $5!!!  I started to settle for a bottle of poultry seasoning, and looked up, and there was a three-inch high bottle for $1.29!!  I was so happy, and on the way out of the store, I realized that my God, Who is omnipresent, present in all places AND all times, already knew I was going to pray that prayer and had it waiting on me!!

Sage is not necessarily important in the scheme of life, but this bottle of sage served as a raindrop!

On the way out of the store, it hit me that the God Who can answer about sage and have it in the store before I even pray the prayer is answering my prayer about the prodigal for whom I pray daily.  In fact, I know He is.  Just Wednesday, I got a call that let me know that God is answering a HUGE prayer for this person's life!!  It is HUGE, and this person's coming back to God is happening quickly!!

I am SOOOO very thankful to God for this raindrop, but even more thankful for answered prayers!!

I heard this new song from Chris Tomlin this morning, and I had to post!  There have been so many times lately that seem I am not just getting raindrops but a deluge!!  I hope you enjoy the song!!  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NJUbvbW8Tg)

Oh God, my God I seek You
I wanna move when You move
You're more than I could long for
I thirst for You

You're an ocean to my soul
To my soul

Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls to deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me

Waterfall, waterfall

Oh God, my God I seek You
In this dry and desert land
You lead me to streams of mercy
Once again

You're an ocean to my soul
To my soul

Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls to deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me

Waterfall, waterfall

It's coming like a flood
I'm dancing in the rain
Everything I've done
Is covered in rivers of grace, amazing

It's coming like a flood
I'm dancing in the rain
I lift up my hands
Your love never changes, amazing

Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls to deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me

Waterfall, waterfall

Prayer works!!

I have had three prayers answered, and it has built my faith!!

A couple of months ago, someone told me about their hours being cut at work, and I began to pray.  This person's second job began giving more hours, and another job came along to help fill in the gaps.  These are not necessarily permanent solutions, but God is showing Himself as Jehovah Jireh to this person and to me!!

Then, this morning, I received a phone call from a friend whose hours had been cut at work to the point that it was believed the job was about to be lost.  I began to pray, and this morning I was informed that all the hours have been restored!!  The boss is finding nit-picky things to keep my friend busy and working, and I know this is in answer to prayer.  My friend even joked that she needed to talk to me because I have been praying, that she was kind of enjoying the extra hours at home!

I know I am not the only person praying regarding these two situations, but I might be the only one praying this specific prayer for the next answer, and it helps me know God is listening to MY prayers.  I have been praying in regards to a prodigal, inviting God to work in every moment of that life, day and night.  Last night, I got to talk to this person and was told about something that happened during the previous night that pointed him/her to God!!  God is incredible, and He answers prayer!

He listens and answers your prayers, too!

I have started a "Thanks" list.  It is in my prayer notebook.  Yesterday, when I was at prayer, God started reminding me of many prayers He has answered in behalf of our lost loved one.

I am sorry for not posting in so long.  It isn't that God isn't giving me raindrops, and lots of them, but they are SO very personal!  Let me just testify that very specific prayers that we have been praying for our lost loved one have been answered, and God is moving in very specific ways!!!  I simply do not wish to break confidence.

But, I can say that...

God, Jehovah Sabaoth, has protected our loved one from very specific things.

God has spared life numerous times.  Satan came to kill, steal, and destroy, and he has tried and tried, but God has protected and spared not only life but future ministry.  (John 10:10 says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal  and to kill, and to destroyI am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.")

God has changed tastes and taken away pleasure from evil things!!

God has revealed truth!!

God has proven that He is, and that is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him!!  (Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.")

I am so very thankful!!!!
